Delaplane, formed in the winter of 2014, is Brian Caperton, Stewart Muztafago, and Don Townsend. Brian and Stew grew up in Warrenton, Virginia, where they began playing music together in middle school. Don, from Roanoke, Virginia met Brian while both were living in Harrisonburg, VA.
Delaplane influences can be heard in band covers of such artists as Nick Drake, the Beatles, Neil Young, Bon Iver, and Radiohead. Their passion, however, lies in creating an original sound based on their own song-craft, blending folk, jazz, and rock styles.
The trio's sound - big or intimate, upbeat or slowed-down - reflects tight arrangements and harmonies... and a true love of music.

Get Goodness Goes on BandCamp.
Heavy eyes play the scene
Steady silence intervenes
With a tongue that’s too sweet to say no
Something sullen disappears
Heavy music finds the ears
And it’s clear what she’s ready to show
So I’ll bend my back
Over and under each side of you
Somewhere inside of you
Lady, I’m lost
Some days it feels so right
Horizons away from thoughts of life
Play with the cost of one sweet night
It’s where we know the goodness Goes
To the one I thought I knew
Whose grace and solace grew
Don’t seek love in times you know
Love won’t find you
Now it feels so right
This beautiful day that shadows night
Somehow shows where all the goodness goes
